As we head into the last couple of shows before our annual summer break in July and August, we wanted to make a special request for you to come out and see our next show featuring Peppino D’Agostino along with one of the top celebrity drummers on the planet, Jeff Campitelli. Peppino is always a tremendous artist to see live. As many of you know he was one of the main reasons for us doing these shows in the first place. We have been tracking his career for many years and last summer we saw him with Jeff at the Costoro Winery in Paso Robles. We have enjoyed Peppino’s performances in at least 40 shows over the years as a soloist and with a wide variety of very gifted musicians and that show with Jeff Campitelli on drums caught us completely off guard! We expected it to be great but this one was nothing short of spectacular! Moved to act, we decided to request the same show for our audiences here in Orange County. As you might imagine, it wasn’t exactly inexpensive to get Joe Satriani’s Drummer to come to Southern California to do a couple of off week shows for us. We decided not to raise the ticket price and bet that we could sell out both venues. So this email is a calling to all LOTSC fans and friends to come out and share with us the music of Peppino D’Agostino and Jeff Campitelli. You will not regret it! See you there!

Peppino D’Agostino doesn’t just play the guitar. He composes, arranges, collaborates, improvises and has even been known to sing a song here and there in both English and Italian. But what he does create on the guitar makes the difference between simply playing and truly making music apparent in the most wonderful ways.

D’Agostino has been hailed as “a guitarist’s guitarist” by Acoustic Guitar magazine as well as “a giant of the acoustic guitar” (San Diego Reader), and holds many top guitar awards, but the San Francisco Chronicle encapsulated the essential difference that distinguishes D’Agostino’s music when it dubbed him “a poet.”
