The Black Market Trust is a five member jazz band based in Los Angeles. Since the 2012 release of their all instrumental debut album "The Black Market Trust," a milestone in the genre of gypsy jazz, the band has gone on to record two more albums, maintain a busy touring schedule, and have their music featured on TV shows like the ABC television series "Happy Endings" and the Hulu original program "Casual." The band features the Django Reinhardt inspired gypsy sound of acoustic instruments, and infuses classics from the Great American Songbook with intricate vocal harmonies inspired by The Beach Boys, and other artists influential to the group. Their sophomore album "II" featured a Top Ten hit on the Adult Contemporary charts, a signature version of "Route 66".

Joe Robinson plays guitar like Ali boxed, like Einstein knew theoretical physics and like Hitchcock made movies.  From the backwoods of Temagog, New South Wales - Australia he possesses sheer six-string ability and compositional insight, which has already earned him a world-wide following.  That fact is underscored by his winning 1st prize on Australia's Got Talent in 2008 and the Australian National Songwriting Competition at the tender age of 13.  Robinson continues to take quantum leaps in his songwriting and performance skills. The gifted young virtuoso has redefined himself as a budding pop-world visionary, deftly walking a tightrope between the stellar instrumental music that's put him in the spotlight and a unique fusion of vocally based rock, blues, jazz, country and R&B that's entirely his own.  Performance art at it's very best!

Joscho Stephan Trio

Transatlantic Trio

Joscho is a german Jazz guitarist who plays mainly modern gypsy jazz, much influenced by Django Reinhardt.  Great jazz musicians such as Paquito de Rivera, James Carter, Charlie Mariano or Grady Tate enthusiastically praised the talented newcomer after performing together. He has toured Australia with top guitarists Martin Taylor and Tommy Emmanuel and has performed with his own bands (trio to quintett) on numerous important European festivals (among others in Slovenia, Italy, France, Poland and the UK).  His concert appearances in New York’s Lincoln Center or the American country capital Nashville were equally well-received, as were his perfomances in the New Yorker jazz shrine Birdland.

For more than 25 years, first-call guitarist Verheyen has made his mark as one of L.A.'s most successful studio players. In that time, he has crossed enumerable musical boundaries and amassed an impressive array of credits. His playing graces albums by everyone from the Bee Gees to Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton to Glenn Frey, Cher to Dave Grusin, and Tiffany to Victor Feldman. Moreover, he is heard on the soundtracks of prominent films including The Milagro Beanfield Wars, The Crow, Moscow on the Hudson, Ratatouille, Blow, and Stand and Deliver, as well as iconic TV shows such as "Laverne and Shirley" and "Cheers."
Unlike most of his contemporaries, Verheyen does not toil in anonymity. Instead, he has chosen the path less traveled but more rewarded - the one pursued by predecessors like Larry Carlton, Lee Ritenour, Howard Roberts, and Steve Lukather. For more than a decade, Carl has maintained a strong global presence as a solo artist, composer, virtuoso guitar player and bandleader, touring internationally with his own group and as a member of Supertramp, which he joined in 1985.

Black Market Trust

Gonzalo began playing professionally at age 16 in Buenos Aires. By 17 he was already fronting his own blues trio on National Television. In 2000, at age 19, he arrived in America. Gonzalo has toured worldwide with the John Jorgenson Quintet, and performed and recorded with hundreds of artists including Tim Hausser from Manhattan Transfer, Sylvie Vartan, Dan Hicks and The Hot Licks, Howard Alden and many more. His touring resume covers Croatia, Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Hungary, Argentina, Brazil, England, Scotland and the U.S. with notable appearances at Playboy Jazz Fest, Sweet and Hot Jazz Fest, The Montreal Jazz Fest, Django Reinhardt Fest (Germany), Suev Guitar Fest (Italy), Merle Fest, Strawberry Fest, most Django-style Fests in the US and countless more.

Superstamp lead guitarist!
Carl Verheyen is a member of that elite (and shrinking) group of musicians known as "session guitarists." Super-qualified pickers, they're the hired guns brought in for the most demanding and important recording dates.
They command triple-scale fees, but work in a pressure cooker where time is money, where skillsets call for expertise in blues, jazz, pop, country, rock, and orchestral situations, where producers and composers presume tone, touch, and technique on tap, and where players are routinely expected to one moment sight-read pages with more black than white, and in next deliver an authentic metal-shred vibe.

British Fingerstyle - Guitar Master And Showman Extraordinaire!

GUITARIST Magazine: Acoustic fingerstylist's latest virtuoso release
It's been a while since we heard from Clive Carroll - 2009's Life in Colour having established him as one of the foremost acoustic players around today. But it was worth the wait, becauseThe Furthest Tree is an absolute gem. The album begins with a tribute to Clive's mentor, John Renbourn, who passed away last year. Entitled The Abbot's Hymn (Renbourn was known as 'The Abbot' because of his fondness for an East Anglian ale of the same name), it's a wonderful introduction to an album chock full of superb playing and outstanding compositions. Take, for instance, A Renaissance Suite, an eight-minute classically influenced duet with special guest, John Williams. Then there's The Adventures of Wilfred, an up-tempo fretboard workout that highlights Carroll's fleet-fingered fretboard abilities to the max. As far as skill beyond the call of duty is concerned, check out the track A Winter Carol, on which Clive plays two separate melodies together on the same fretboard, and listen in wonder!

With dazzling melodic fingerpicking on six and twelve string guitars, stinging bottleneck slide and a lifetime's stories and songs gathered or written on the world's musical highways it's no surprise that Nick Charles is labelled internationally as "Australia's virtuoso of acoustic roots and blues". During his extensive and acclaimed career, Nick has released more than a dozen albums on major Australian and US roots music labels. His recordings have garnered world-wide recognition beginning with "My Place" and now his most recent release "The River Flows". This recognition has succeeded in having Nick signed to the Grammy Award winning label, Solid Air Records USA ("Home of the World's Finest Guitarists").
